Brand and Website Design and Front-end Solution Development
The Brief
Weaver was approached by startup cogoTrip to design and build the front end of B2B and B2C websites for their long-distance minicab booking service. The client sourced back-end development from an Indian supplier, so an important part of the brief was collaboration across timezones and cultural and language barriers.
The Work
Tight timelines and complex business and functional requirements necessitated a fluid and deeply-integrated approach to technical architecture, IA, interaction design and brand and visual identity design. A young, Facebook-focused target demographic informed the development of a fresh, manga-like brand identity, utilising Weaver’s illustration capabilities.
The Results
A pilot version of the new website went live in April 2011. Initial user feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
